Tour De France

What a fantastic day for Burham village on Sunday 8th when the Tour De France passed through. The main street was lined with people watching the promotional vehicles and floats pass by as well as police, ‘gendarmes’ and other services prior to the actual race. We also enjoyed an ‘air display’ from a number of helicopters, some of which landed in a nearby field! Finally the cyclists raced through to cheers and clapping from the crowds.

It was a pleasure to see so many people, not only from Burham but from Wouldham & Eccles too, all enjoying the long awaited sunshine – it couldn’t have been better. Burham Fun Day also provided entertainment and refreshment alongside the Tour de France and on into the afternoon making a great day out for all ages. Well done to all involved for such a fantastic day.
