Roger Dalton is a local man, having lived and worked in the villages of Burham, Eccles and Wouldham for over 30 years. He is married to Hazel, and between between them they have four grown up children, all but one working, the youngest in his 3rd year at university studying law. Since 1976 has run and still runs his own Plumbing and Heating Installation Company.

For some fifteen years he has been a member of Burham Parish Council and in 2003 he was elected to Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council. In May 2007 he will seek re election to carry on the work on behalf of the local community.
